Project 3: Truong Dinh High School, Vietnam (70th Anniversary Milestone)

Date: June 9, 2025 Impact: 70 Laptops Donated / 200+ Students, Faculty, and Officials Educated

Overview: A Grand Celebration of Legacy and Future

Our third initiative was more than a mission; it was a profound celebration. We were deeply honored to host this project at Truong Dinh High School during its milestone 70th anniversary. To mark this historic occasion, and with the incredible support of Amazon Web Services (AWS), we donated 70 refurbished laptops—one for each year of the school's illustrious history.

An Unforgettable Welcome

The scale of this project was matched only by the warmth of the reception. We presented in front of a massive audience of over 200 students, faculty, and local officials. In a moment that we will never forget, the entire assembly stood as one to sing their school song in our honor—a powerful testament to the deep connection and mutual respect between CFS and the local community.

Advanced Hardware & Ethics Curriculum

  • The "Repair, Don't Replace" Workshop: We led a high-energy, hands-on workshop where students didn't just watch; they participated. Students disassembled and reassembled laptops, identifying internal components and learning that technology should be sustained, not discarded.

  • AI Ethics & Digital Integrity: We delivered a specialized lecture on the responsible use of AI tools like ChatGPT. We emphasized using AI for exploration and idea generation rather than as a shortcut for plagiarism, fostering a culture of original thinking and academic integrity.

  • Holistic Digital Well-being: We discussed the connection between online identity and real-world responsibility, teaching students to navigate social media with both safety and mental well-being in mind.

Impact & Engagement

The energy in the room was electric. The students were incredibly proactive, engaging us with thoughtful questions during our Q&A and interactive quizzes. By providing 70 laptops and the knowledge to maintain them, we have helped Truong Dinh High School build a digital bridge that will serve its community for years to come.
